v0.9.9 — Say what you had, and the bill divides itself

v0.9.9New featureDenis Povarov

Splitting a bill by item was the fairest option and the slowest one. Now the sentence you already type can do it.

Who had what, from the sentence

Attach a receipt, mark it as the bill, and say what happened:

dinner with Anna Lopes, I had 2 beers and the salad, Anna had the pizza, we split the wine

The scan reads the line items; the sentence says who had them. The review arrives already divided, with the split set to by items — nothing saved until you press Add, and every chip still movable.

Anything the sentence does not mention stays with whoever paid, so a half-remembered bill is still a valid one.

Claiming your part by typing

The same works from the other side. Open a shared bill and there is a field above the items:

Counts, whole items and halves all land as real selections in the picker, and you confirm them like any other claim. If you already have a share, Change my items now offers the field too — your words merge over what is selected rather than replacing it.

The rest

  • A who-had-what clause is no longer mistaken for the amount: "dinner, I had 2 beers" used to save as €2.

  • Item claims spend the same monthly AI reads as the sentence field. The read only runs when a scanned bill has line items and more than one person shares it.

  • Nothing the reading produces is a state you could not have tapped yourself, and prices are never sent to the model — every cent is still worked out by HiBill.
